An ultra-motivated team
Gaëlle Richard and Lucas Vançon are two engineers passionate about cycling.
After regularly arriving at work soaked despite wearing rain gear, Lucas came up with the idea of building a body shell for his bike.
Already a cargo-bike user for grocery runs and after holding several key roles in business, Gaëlle decided to join Karbikes to explore new horizons and imagine eco-mobility.
In the face of climate change and resource depletion, we decided to take action! First through our individual actions, including using a bike every day.
But change isn’t easy, which is why we created Karbikes: to offer you a decarbonized mobility alternative that makes cycling safer, more comfortable, and more practical!
Made in France
Our goal is to minimize the impact of our travel as much as possible, which is why Karbikes are designed, manufactured, and assembled locally in France!
With the support of around ten industrial partners sharing their experience in rail and automotive, the frames and bodywork are produced as close as possible to the assembly workshop in Strasbourg, and 80% of the total value of Karbikes is French!
Karbikes vehicles wouldn’t exist without their many supporters:
