Gaëlle Richard and Lucas Vançon are two engineers with a passion for cycling.
It was when Lucas regularly arrived at work wet despite wearing rain gear that he had the idea of making a body for his bike.
Gaëlle was already using cargo bikes for groceries, and after holding a number of key positions in business, she decided to join Karbikes to discover new horizons and imagine ecomobility.
Faced with climate change and resource depletion, we’ve decided to take action! Starting with our individual actions, including using bikes every day.
However, change isn’t easy, which is why we created Karbikes, to offer you a low-carbon mobility alternative that makes cycling safer, more comfortable, and more practical!
Designed and made in France
Our goal is to minimize the impact of our journeys, which is why Karbikes are designed, manufactured, and assembled locally in France!
Thanks to a dozen industrial partners who share their experience in the rail and automotive industries, the chassis and bodywork are manufactured as close as possible to the assembly plant in Strasbourg, and 80% of the total value of Karbikes is French!
